As we do every so often here at Shoyeido, we're having a contest. This time around the prize is one super-beautiful 2011 Zen scroll-style calendar commemorating next year's status as a "Year of the Rabbit."

In June, we gave away a nifty kneaded incense-making kit. The prize this time is different, but no less hip: a gorgeous, artsy, oversized 2010 "Year of the Tiger" Zen calligraphy calendar!

Last Call to Sign Up for Shoyeido's September E-newsletter

Incense Kit Contest: We Have a Winner!

We'd like to thank everyone who entered our first ever Incense-Making Kit contest - it was a huge success. All told, we received close to 100 entries.

Our process for randomly selecting a winner was simple: first, we printed all of the entries, making sure to remove any duplicates. We then placed all of the identical entries in a bin (pictured above) and thoroughly shuffled them up. Finally, our sales manager closed his eyes and randomly pulled the winning entry from the pile. Without further ado ...

Congratulations, R.B. of Cheswick, Pennsylvania! You're the proud new owner of one Nerikoh Incense-Making Kit! We'll ship it to you today via UPS, so look for it to arrive in about a week. Be sure to send a few pictures of your incense-making activities for us to post here on the blog.
